NEXT SATURDAY’S Multicultural Mothers’ Day Festival on the Gold Coast will feature a giant raffle.
First prize in the raffle is a return ticket from Brisbane to Taipei, valued at more than $1200.
The Multicultural Mothers’ Day Festival is being held by Gold Coast non-profit Indonesia-Australia Multicultural group Seharum Nusantara.

Seharum Nusantara spokesperson Thia Taylor said the response from local multicultural groups has exceeded all expectations.
“A big feature of the day will be a giant raffle, with the first prize being a Brisbane-Taipei-Brisbane return airfare with Eva Air,” Thia said.
Mrs Taylor said activities for the day are mounting up rapidly as well.
“So far we have massage, eyebrows threading, henna tattooing, sand art, crafts for kids, a land train, jumping castle, free face panting, free children’s playground/activities, dance workshops and Tai Chi/Falun Gong workshops,” she said.
