Gold Coast Multicultural Group Adds Dance Videos Page to Website

POPULAR GOLD Coast-based multicultural not-for-profit Seharum Nusantara has added a new page to their website, featuring videos of the group’s popular dance performances.

The web page contains three videos at time of release, but more will be added regularly so website visitors will get an exciting view of the diversity of Seharum Nusantara dance routines.

Seharum Nusantara has performed all over south-east Queensland, New South Wales and in South Australia at the 10th Anniversary Indofest held in Adelaide last year.

Audiences over the years have regularly included Ambassadors, governors, premiers, consulates, mayors and of course a wide range of Aussies who have all enjoyed every performance.

Seharum Nusantara President, Caroline Samara says the secrets of the group’s success in dance performance are dance troupe members’ dedication to rehearsal and also the rich and diverse choreography provided by Calista Palmer and her mother Reni.

“Calista and Reni have played a very important part of Seharum Nusantara’s dance performances since the group was formed in 2007,” says Caroline.

“We wouldn’t be anywhere near as popular without our professional quality dance choreography.”

Another major element of Seharum’s Nusantara’s dances is the spectacular costumery which is sourced from all over the Indonesian Archipelago.

“Our slogan is Unity in Diversity, as we perform dance routines from so many Indonesian cultures.”
