Gold Coast Multicultural Group Praised by Indonesian Embassy

THE ACTIVITIES of Gold Coast-based non-profit multicultural group Seharum Nusantara have been praised on behalf of the Indonesian Ambassador Mr Kristarto Legowo, by Mr Iwan Freddy of the Indonesian embassy in Canberra.

Mr Freddy was responding to a notice about the new 2018-2019 executive of Seharum Nusantara.

“I really appreciate the tireless efforts of Seharum Nusantara in promoting Indonesian culture and food, as well as fostering harmony, diversity and unity amongst Indonesian communities in Australia, in particular in Gold Coast, Queensland, for so many years through various important activities,” he said. 

“Seharum Nusantara’s activities have surely helped deepen the bilateral relationship between Indonesia and Australia, a relationship that has grown from strength to strength.

“I would also like to congratulate to the newly-elected Committee Member of Seharum Nusantara for 2018-2019.”

Mr Freddy stated he looks forward to further news regarding Seharum Nusantara’s activities
