GOLD COAST Multicultural Group Seharum Nusantara has raised nearly $5000 to help dual-tragedy earthquake and tsunami victims in Palu, Sulawesi, Indonesia.
Seharum Nusantara Publicity Officer Christy McMillan said the group was extremely grateful at the support shown by Gold Coast and South-East Queensland residents who responded to various fund raising events.
"Seharum Nusantara Gold Coast would like to express our gratitude for your generosity and contributions.
"A HUGE THANK YOU from the bottom of our heart to everyone that participated in our fund raising events for the past 1 month," she said.
"Our friends and family in Palu will very much appreciate your support to help rebuild their lives.
"Our representative will personally distributes the funds directly to the families
effected by Palu tragedy."
Seharum Nusantara representative has now landed in Palu and commenced distributing much needed resources to the earthquake/tsunami survivors.
